THE WAY OF THE WARRIOR
My Story
I am Sanjeet Kumar Rai, and I have represented Nepal as a fighter, coach, and judge in Wuma Kung Fu.
My love for sports started in school at Budhanilkantha Secondary School in Kathmandu. When I was in ninth grade, I began learning athletics. My father, Krishna Bahadur Rai, was a great athlete in the 1980s. He was my biggest role model. My family always supported me, which helped me follow my dreams.
I started with Taekwondo during winter breaks. Then I learned Wushu for about three years. Finally, I found my true calling in Wuma Kung Fu. This traditional style connected with my heritage and dreams. Today, I am the President of Nepal Wuma Kung Fu Association, helping the next generation of athletes.
